Many and various characters including Wordsworth, the servant/lover from Sierra Leone, Henry, the shy ex-bank manager, a sexy girl in jodhpurs, Aunt Augusta, O'Toole the CIA agent, Mr. Visconti the crooked Turk (in fact twenty-four in all) travel from suburban London to Istanbul via Paris, Trieste, Venice, Brighton, The Gare De Lyona, 1940's Rome, The Crown and Anchor, and all stops between...
All played by four chaps!!!
The play is Travels With My Aunt, by Graham Greene, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal.
Performance dates 17th to 21st June 2014.
Rehearsals Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting after Easter.
We follow the travels of Henry Pulling, a retired bank manager with a quiet suburban life tending his dahlias, and his eccentric Aunt Augusta, who pulls a reluctant Henry into a world of adventure and crime across Europe to Istanbul, and in doing so reveals her highly unconventional past.
This hugely entertaining stage version features four men playing all the characters!
